Color and readability

Spaces or dots are used to line up text

Rows of spaces, dots or dashes are used to line things up, like "Chapter 1.......5".

Who it affects

People who use screen readers.

Why it matters

A screen reader may read every character: "dot dot dot dot". That is slow and confusing.

How to fix it

  1. In Word: use tab stops with dot leaders, a real table, or the built-in Table of Contents instead of typing rows of dots or spaces.
  2. Change this in the original file, then create the PDF again.

What RemeDocs does

This is part of how the original file was typed, so it has to be changed there.
