Title, language and fonts

The document's title is missing or unclear

Every PDF should have a clear title saved in its properties, and should show that title instead of the file name when it opens.

Who it affects

People who use screen readers, and anyone with many files open.

Why it matters

A screen reader announces the title first. "Budget 2026" is far more helpful than "scan0042.pdf".

How to fix it

  1. In Word: choose File, then Info, and fill in Title under Properties before you create the PDF.
  2. In Adobe Acrobat: choose File, then Properties. Enter the Title. On the Initial View tab, set Show to Document Title.

What RemeDocs does

RemeDocs adds or improves the title automatically.
