The document's language isn't set

The PDF doesn't say which language it is written in, such as English or Spanish.

Who it affects

People who use screen readers.

Why it matters

The screen reader uses the language to choose its voice and pronunciation. With the wrong one, words can be read aloud as gibberish.

How to fix it

  1. In Word: on the Review tab, choose Language, then Set Proofing Language.
  2. In Adobe Acrobat: choose File, then Properties, then Advanced, and pick the Language.

What RemeDocs does

RemeDocs sets the document language automatically.
