Structure and reading order

Some content is not labeled for screen readers

Most of the document has its hidden labels (tags), but some text or images were left out. Screen readers may skip that content.

Who it affects

People who use screen readers.

Why it matters

Skipped content means some readers never get that information, and they have no way of knowing it was there.

How to fix it

  1. Check the pages listed for text or images that look fine on screen but are not read aloud.
  2. In Adobe Acrobat Pro: use the Reading Order tool to tag the missing content, or mark it as decorative if it is only decoration.

What RemeDocs does

RemeDocs tags most content automatically. Anything left over is flagged for a person to check.
